NYC

Spring Break

As a parent, one of the greatest challenges is answering the question, "How do I raise my kids right?"  While there is no guidebook or wayfinding signs, I've come up with my version of the answer.  My answer........create experiences.   I try and provide as many different experiences as possible with the hope that something sticks.  Having lived in NYC at the ripe old age of 22, I thought it would be fun to take my daughter on a 3 day whirlwind tour of the city to see some of the places I used to frequent.  We walked 15 miles a day, ate great food, took in the sights, sounds and smells but most importantly - we connected.  I learned more about her and she learned more about me.  It was great!  The images above are a few of the places we went - Central Park, Empire at night, Grand Central, Lady Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge and of course Times Square.

The takeaway is much like a crew coming together to create something great.  You pay attention to the details in the beginning to allow exploration during the work and hopefully come away with something that makes the viewer feel something.  To have a connection!
